As the President of the Connecticut Society of Civil Engineers (CSCE), I invite you to participate in the Third Annual Achievement in Civil Engineering (ACE) Awards program.  These Awards, which will be given out at our May 11th dinner event at the Aqua Turf in Plantsville, Connecticut, will commend projects on which significant engineering expertise or innovation were exhibited.  The project categories include:

  • Water Resources/Environmental  
  • Transportation
  • Geotechnical
  • Structural
  • Construction

2009 CSCE ACE Awards

At the second annual Achievement in Civil Engineering (ACE) Awards ceremony on May 12, 2009, the Connecticut Society of Civil Engineers (CSCE) section of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) recognized the following civil engineering projects in the State of Connecticut awards that exhibited significant engineering expertise or innovation.

 

2009 Water Resources/Environmental ACE Award

In addition, Representative Joe Serra was recognized as our 2009 Legislator of the Year due to his long-standing service to the civil engineering industry in Connecticut, from his 37 years of service for the Middletown Public Works Department, to his serving as the Secretary-Treasurer for the Connecticut Association of Street and Highway Officials (CASHO) for the past 30 years, to his advocacy on behalf of the industry while serving as State Representative for the 33rd District in Middletown...a position he has held for the past 17 years.
